Iconic Smash star Debra Messing (currently appearing in the reboot of the classic NBC sitcom Will & Grace) received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today. Ever the comedy star, Messing and her son, Roman Walker Zelman, took the opportunity to recreate one of the most memorable moments in recent Walk of Fame history.

Some background: in 2015, while Mariah Carey was receiving her star, her son Moroccan, stole the show with his stubborn refusal to leave his mom’s side.

Of course, Mariah, ever the unbothered icon, simply watched as Moroccan was carted away, kicking and screaming, and then returned to her photo shoot. And, with that, a perfect pop culture moment was born.
